Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard announced that he will make a tour to visit the 32 states of the Republic with the aim of “maintaining an advantage” in the Morena poll to choose his presidential candidate for the 2024 elections.
He indicated that during his tours he will listen to the population and then make proposals for the future; said that a national commission will be created to defend the Fourth Transformation.
“We are going to listen, propose, organize and maintain our lead in all the polls,” he said.
At the First Meeting of local morena deputies in Guadalajara, he said that, to him, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador has already uncovered him five times in the morning.
“You can already consider me that I am uncovered, because no way, right? We are already a recognized cork,” he said.

After assuring that the INE could be recording it, he said that this event was not a campaign or pre-campaign because it is already uncovered and that everything will be done within the legal framework.
“The campaigns are until the 24th, today it is not a campaign. Ah, it’s pre-campaign, either. We are going to participate in a survey within the movement for national coordination in defense of the Fourth Transformation, it is an internal position,” he said.
Ebrard said he won’t be distracted from his day-to-day job as foreign secretary.
President López Obrador has mentioned the head of government, Claudia Sheinbaum, and the secretaries of Foreign Affairs and the Interior, Marcelo Ebrard and Adán Augusto López, respectively, as possible presidential candidates of Morena.
However, he warned that he will support whoever wins the party’s internal poll.
