The government this week announced a group of new state aid, which focuses on supporting families in the face of the growing inflation that we suffer as a country and that invades the whole world.
In that line, President Gabriel Boric announced that in addition to the Chile Supports Winter Bonus, there will be the extension of the applications to the IFE Laboral for those who have signed a contract in a new source of employment in the previous month or the one that is studying. In this way, the deadline to apply will be extended until December 2022.
The postponement of the validity of this benefit seeks to facilitate the return to formal employment of people, trying to recover the labor levels that existed before the beginning of the socioeconomic crisis.
In addition to the above, this announcement is part of the current application process to the IFE Laboral, corresponding to July, the month in which other changes arise, reported Meganoticias.
Only for this month one of its requirements was modified, due to the increase in the amount of its payments (up to $ 300 thousand).
In addition, prior to the Government’s announcement, applications to the IFE Laboral ended in September, ending one of the most important grants of the State Social Protection Network.
Now this subsidy for new and new workers will be enabled for three additional application entry processes.
Another change is with respect to future applicants in August who will receive a maximum of three payments, when before the announcement they obtained up to two, and those in September will also have three, when they obtained only one.
Meanwhile, the next applicants in October will get three payments. Those of November, two and those of December, only one.
Who has to apply to the IFE Laboral in July?
An important change will apply only during this month, which is that the applications are exclusively intended for workers who sign a new contract from July 1 to 31, 2022.
Traditionally, the subsidy application processes contemplate those who found a new source of employment throughout the previous month and the current month.
However, just for this occasion, those who found a new job in June will not be able to participate in the July application process. And once this month ends, in August their initial conditions will be resumed, so that people who find work in July will be able to apply.
And what are the new amounts of the IFE Laboral?
The payments of the IFE Laboral depend on the gross monthly income taxable, the group to which it belongs (general or priority group) and the month of remuneration that is being paid.
The people who will receive 60% of their salary for the subsidy with a limit of up to $ 300,000 per month, are the members of the priority group, composed of:
Women.
Men over 55 years old.
Young people between 18 and 24 years old.
People with disabilities.
Beneficiaries of disability pension.
On the other hand, up to $100,000 per month will be paid from the period corresponding to their July salary to the members of the general group, composed of:
Men over 24 and under 55.
These new amounts of the IFE Laboral will be delivered for the period corresponding to the remuneration of July. But you should keep in mind that the payments are outdated, so only in September will the amount equivalent to the July salaries be paid.
