Alberto Fernández: “HIV and Oncopediatrics laws expand rights”

President Alberto Fernández promulgated the oncopediatrics law and the modifications to the HIV law this Friday, July 15, in the Hall of Argentine Women of the Bicentennial of the Casa Rosada, where he was accompanied by the Minister of Health, Carla Vizzotti, within the framework of the signing of the promulgation of the laws. In a small act, which lasted about half an hour, the President and the minister stressed that the oncopediatrics and HIV laws “expand rights.” In addition, the Head of State welcomed the approval of both laws in a “particularly difficult” context, marked by the coronavirus pandemic and the war.
“These laws guarantee full life to people suffering from the disease”

“This is the result of a struggle that began many years ago the first victims of AIDS and that civil associations followed and that were able to find in politics the necessary coincidence to solve the problem of those who suffer the need,” said the President.

In addition, during his speech the president referred to the situation he had to live, recalled that last week he was with the governor of Chaco and asked him if he would have liked to govern in these four years. “This is a difficult time to govern,” Fernandez said, adding: “Everything has happened to us as humanity. A very cruel pandemic has passed us and we don’t know how many lives it took us. Then the war makes everything more difficult.” “But we also have those inside, who are the ones who speculate, the ones who want to win by generating uncertainty. The usual ones. To all of them, we are prepared to put our chests on them and give the fight that we have to give,” said the President.
