Dog trainer released; there is a missing animal

Of the 14 people arrested after the confrontation in Topilejo, Tlalpan, four were released because there was not enough evidence to prove their participation in the events, one of them is Jesús Antonio Contreras, a dog trainer who has a pension and canine shelter near where the operation was carried out.
The owners of the dogs demanded the arrest of the trainer and accused that elements of the capital police did not let approach the place or to feed the animals.
Those who take their pets to the shelter said that Jesús Antonio has been dedicated for more than 10 years to the care and training of dogs.

Yesterday, Friday, after being released, Antonio Contreras went with personnel from the capital prosecutor’s office to the property where the dogs are with an order to enter and rescue the animals; Veterinarians and some of the owners also entered to take care of their pets.
“Well, right now, for the moment, what I want is to count the pets that I could not pick up or protect,” he told Noticieros Televisa upon arrival.

The Animal Surveillance Brigade of the Secretariat of Citizen Security confirmed that inside the property there were seven dogs; about 30 were transferred to the agency’s shelter, located in Xochimilco.
Some of those affected said that most of the dogs have already been delivered to their owners; although they report the disappearance of Lolo, in the area of Cuemanco, Xochimilco.
