Argentine director Mariano Cohn to be a juror at the Venice Film Festival

Filmmaker Mariano Cohn will be a judge at the 79th Venice International Film Festival, chaired by Oscar winner Julianne Moore (“Always Alice”, 2014). This was confirmed by the organization of the festival through a statement in which it also revealed several of the films that will be part of the competition. Cohn will officiate alongside Moore, in addition to the Spanish filmmaker and screenwriter, Rodrigo Sorogoyen, awarded with the Goya Awards in 2019 for best director and screenplay for “El reino”; along with other recognitions that harvest his productions “Mother”, “Stockholm” and “May God forgive us”. Other jurors are the British writer of Japanese origin, Kazuo Ishiguro (winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2017); Italian filmmaker and screenwriter Leonardo Di Costanzo, French director Audrey Diwan (“L’Événement”) and Iranian actress Leila Hatami (“A Separation”).
