Logitech G yesterday unveiled the Aurora Collection, a new product line that includes the G735 Wireless Gaming Headset, the G715 Wireless Gaming Keyboard, the G713 Gaming Keyboard, the G705 Wireless Gaming Mouse and eight custom accessories. The new collection was designed from scratch under the slogan “Play Your Way”, play your way, focusing on inclusion, especially attending to the needs and desires of female players, but also seeking to attract all players looking for a unique design and a personalized experience. The Aurora collection has a distinctive aesthetic and design language, while allowing for customization through accessories and color options. The Aurora collection has been conceptualized from feedback from players across the community and was realized by a team of Logitech innovation, design, engineering and marketing leaders made up primarily of women. The collection was created to meet the gaming wants and needs of an underrepresented segment, and to rethink the future of gaming, where participation must be present. The design process was guided by these three principles:
Comfort: In the design phase, the team made sure to take into account various aspects of the different types of users, such as their style, personal characteristics and even the types of hands they might have. It was not limited to adjustment. The team prioritized products that had good texture and good design to support longer play sessions, exploring different materials and finishes that were light and soft to the touch.
Accessibility: To address areas of opportunity around accessibility, the team sought the alternative of typical sharp edges, black colors and noisy aesthetics to create a more welcoming experience with softer tones, translucent materials and relaxing lighting out of the box.
Fun: The Aurora collection encourages self-expression. The products come in the White Mist base with the possibility to customize them with Pink Dawn and Green Flash accessories. Players can also showcase their creative side with thousands of customizable lighting combinations available in Logitech’s G HUB solution, with the signature lighting of the Aurora Collection we call Play Moods.
