The musician Abel Zicavo became a trending topic last weekend, but not because of some novelty of his band “Moral Distraída”. The singer and at the same time partner of the Minister spokeswoman of The Government, Camila Vallejo, received a wave of criticism on Twitter for a comment about the cultural manager and face of the Rejection of the proposal of the new Constitution, Javiera Parada.
In the midst of the constitutional debate and weeks before the plebiscite, the national artist received more than one message of hatred, after users of the social network of the little blue bird refloated an old publication of the singer: “Can you imagine being Javiera Parada?”, was the brief text of Zicavo.
The offensive comments did not take long to arrive and turned the tropical musician into a trend. “I imagined you being the polo of an ultra-feminist minister and the weon basureando to another woman,” was one of the comments of lower caliber. “Imagine being Zicavo brothers who are looking for mines with silver because by merit nobody would hunt them,” said another Twitter user who in her description claims to be a feminist.
Zicavo defended himself, pointing out that in the Rejection “they are jumping.” In his opinion, this happens whenever an election is approaching, “it is nothing new.”
Later, along with his publication about imagining himself being Javiera Parada, Abel Zicavo complemented: “Because it has to be difficult to be in his shoes.” He added: “What a way to block bots.”
Minister Vallejo has not referred to the controversy experienced by her partner.
