In Tecnópolis, they will exhibit cars that Juan Manuel Fangio drove during his career

Juan Manuel Fangio will be honored at Tecnópolis, where there will be an exhibition of four emblematic cars that the Argentine driver used at different times in his career. Carried out by the Ministry of Culture of the Nation and the Juan Manuel Fangio Foundation, the exhibition will be officially inaugurated next Saturday, August 27 at 4:00 p.m.

On March 27, 1938, the five-time Formula 1 world champion held his first motorsport competition in the city of Necochea, in a Ford V8. For twenty years, between 1938 and 1958, he participated in 200 competitions and obtained 79 victories in the categories Turismo Carretera, Mecánica Nacional Argentina, Formulas 1 and Dos Internacional, Grand Prix, Sport and Formula Libre cars.Some of the cars that keep the memory of those victories traveled from the Fangio Museum, located in the city of Balcarce, to the park of Villa Martelli for this special exhibition that can be visited from Thursday to Sunday from 10.00 to 18.00 and on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 12.0 to 19.00.

Which Fangio cars will be on display

Chevrolet Coupe 1939: the black coupe bought by Fangio thanks to a collection organized by his friends. With this car he started as a pilot in Turismo Carretera.
Ford V8 Baquet: car with which Fangio debuted in 1938 in a competition held in the city of Necochea.
Ferrari 166: vehicle with which he makes his debut at the Monza Grand Prix in 1949, achieving victory after surpassing Ascari, Villoresi and Bonetto who manned the official cars.
Ford T: a true symbol in the sporting history of Fangio, since with this car he ran four competitions in the National Mechanics category, achieving a first place (Rosario), two third (Retiro and Mendoza) and registering an abandonment (Necochea).

In addition, cups, trophies, platelets, works of art, clothing of the time and different audiovisual materials that cover the history of the legendary pilot are added to the exhibition.
