Murillo Karam was taken to hospital for chest tomography

Former Attorney General Jesús Murillo Karam was transferred to balbuena General Hospital for a chest scan.
This, in order to track your health status due to a diagnosis of COPD.
The authorities reported that after the study he was transferred back to the North Men’s Preventive Prison, where he remains after a judge decided to link him to the process.

Murillo Karam is accused of crimes against the administration of justice, forced disappearance and torture in the Ayotzinapa case.
In the hearing, which lasted 12 hours, the judge gave 90 calendar days for the closure of the complementary investigation.
The link occurred despite the fact that the defense asked the judge to dismiss the evidence presented by the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) to charge him. The former official even spoke in favor of the investigation he led into the crime against the 43 students from Ayotzinapa.

Among the evidence presented by the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) to achieve the link to the process are the statements of detainees who were tortured and former officials who falsified documents, but who do not indicate it directly.
However, Judge Marco Antonio Fuerte Tapia supported the Prosecution’s thesis that Murillo Karam should have known that his subordinates committed crimes; that is why they also consider as evidence the four press conferences offered as prosecutor where he reported on the investigation of the disappearance of the students and released the ‘historical truth’.
