Accident on Silao-León road leaves at least 7 dead and 12 injured

An accident on the León-Silao highway in Guanajuato left at least seven people dead and injured.
The accident involved two trailers and a van carrying personnel, near the Campestre neighborhood of San José.
Daniel Díaz, Secretary of Health of Guanajuato, reported that so far the state’s emergency system reports 12 people injured.

At the moment @SUEG_gto reports 12 people injured, 4 in code red, 2 in code yellow and 6 in code green. Those who are treated at the General Hospital León and in the units of the @Tu_IMSSGto 58 and 53.

The governor of the state, Diego Sinhue Rodríguez, instructed the Secretary of Government, Libia Denise García Muñoz Ledo, to provide support to the relatives of those who died, as well as to guarantee the care of the wounded.
The National Guard reported that the partial closure on the Querétaro-León highway is still continuing at kilometer 124 + 700, in the Irapuato-León section, towards Querétaro.

Civil Protection reported on the alternative routes to enter León by the León – Salamanca Highway: the Guanajuato – Silao Metropolitan Axis and the León – Silao Metropolitan Axis.
