A long weekend is coming up in October: How many are left in 2022?

October is just a few days away. And with the tenth month of the year, a new long weekend will come. It is an “XL” holiday that will run from Friday 7 to Monday 10 next month for the Day of Respect for Cultural Diversity. This date is celebrated on October 12, but this year it was moved to the 10th to form this new long weekend. Until 2010, it was known as Día de la Raza. Then, he changed his nomenclature to give it a meaning “according to the value assigned by our National Constitution and various treaties and declarations of human rights to the ethnic and cultural diversity of all peoples,” according to the General Syndicate of the Nation (SIGEN).
Before the next long weekend, 2022 still has a holiday, that of Sunday, November 20, the date on which the Day of National Sovereignty is commemorated, which extends to Monday 21 for tourist purposes. And in December, with the End of the Year festivities just around the corner, the last long weekend of 2022 will arrive: December 8 will be the day of the Immaculate Conception of Mary, which will be extended to the 9th as a tourist bridge.
