Filo.explains│12 years without Romina Yan: the tragic death of the teen idol

Romina Yankelevich was born on September 5, 1974 into a family linked to the show for decades: her mother is the actress and producer Cris Morena. His father is the television director and producer Gustavo Yankelevich. His brother is Tomás Yankelevich, also recognized in the television world, and his great-grandfather was Jaime Yankelevich, considered one of the founders of Argentine television. From a very young age, Romina Yan knew that her thing would be television. His debut was at age 17 in Jugate conmigo, the youth program hosted by his mother. In 1994 she had her first acting role with a character in the comedy My Brother-in-Law. In 1995, when she had not yet turned 21, Romina Yan played the role that was going to change her life: she became the protagonist of Chiquititas, a children’s telenovela that told the story of a group of orphans housed in a home. He spent four seasons and became a star in several countries, including Mexico, Brazil and Israel. The program had its theatrical version, which exceeded one million viewers. After her participation in Chiquititas, Romina Yan left television and had her first child. In 2001 the actress reached the big screen, when the film version of the success that had launched her to fame was released. During the following years, Romina participated in several projects that did not have the success of Chiquititas. In 2005, he finally starred in Amor mío, and he broke it all. In 2009, Cris Morena proposed to Romina Yan a participation of five chapters in the youth success Casi ángeles. In the end, Cris’ daughter ended up being part of the main cast. Throughout her career, Romina Yan had a calm and reserved stance in the face of fame. In addition, in many interviews I had to answer about the weight of being part of a family so involved with the history of television. On September 28, 2010, what no one expected happened. Romina suffered an aneurysm and was taken to the Central Hospital of San Isidro at half past four in the afternoon. Doctors tried to revive her for nearly an hour. Finally, at 17:20 he was declared dead. The sudden passing of Romina Yan aroused some suspicions. Did he suffer from anorexia? In that case, did that have to do with his sudden death? Did your eating problems have to do with an imposition from your mother to have a skinny body? In 2018, Cris Morena organized the show “Vive Ro”, in which Romina was honored by a lot of artists who had worked with her. His three sons, Azul, Valentín and Franco, also participated.
