Covid-19 report: there were 2,935 infections in the country, 34.5% less than last week

According to what the Ministry of Health reported, there were 40 deaths from coronavirus and 2,935 infections in the last week in Argentina, which represents 34.5% fewer cases than last Sunday (4,482). According to the data released, the number of deaths decreased 4.7% compared to last week, when 42 deaths had been counted. In this way, there are 129,937 deaths officially registered nationwide and 9,711,355 those infected since the beginning of the pandemic. In addition, the health portfolio announced that there are 284 inmates with coronavirus in intensive care units, with a percentage of adult bed occupancy in the public and private sector, for all pathologies, of 40.3% in the country. In the last week, 11 people died in Buenos Aires, 2 in the City of Buenos Aires, 7 in Catamarca, 1 in Chaco, 1 in Chubut, 7 in Corrientes, 3 in Córdoba, 1 in Entre Ríos, 2 in Mendoza, 1 in Río Negro, 3 in Salta, 1 in Santa Fe, and 1 in Tierra del Fuego. Jujuy (-1) reclassified one case. According to the Public Vaccination Monitor, the total doses applied amounts to 109,590,029, of which 40,991,153 received one dose, 37,833,574 both, 3,153,549 an additional, 21,601,396 the first booster, and 5,963,721 the second, while the vaccines distributed to the jurisdictions reach 117,191,912 and those donated to 5,083,000.
