Inflation in September marked a 6.2% variation, according to the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (Indec). In this way, the price increase during the first eight months of 2022 was 66.1% and in the last twelve months the accumulated figure reached 83%. The items with the highest price increase are clothing and footwear with 10.6%, alcoholic beverages and tobacco with 9.4%, various goods and services with 6.8 and finally food, which is still above inflation, with 6.7%.
However, among the items that contributed the most to the CPI are again non-alcoholic foods and beverages that increased by 6.7%. Within this division, the main impulses were vegetables, tubers and legumes (18%); oil, fats and butter (10.4%); fruits (6.6%); milk, dairy products and eggs (6%); and bread and cereals (5.4%).
