Horror in Paris: The body of a 12-year-old girl was found in a trunk

Four people have been arrested after the body of a 12-year-old girl was found inside a trunk in Paris, France, European media reported saturday. It was her father who reported the girl missing on Friday afternoon, not seeing her return from school. Security cameras in the building showed the girl entering, but then she disappeared. Around 11 p.m., a homeless man found the trunk with his remains. An inspection by security cameras in the area showed a woman moving the trunk with great effort next to the building where the family lives, in the 19th arrondissement of the French capital. Police maintain the secrecy of the proceedings, but several leaks to local media indicate that the body had cuts in its throat and was tied with adhesive tape packaging. Some sources even spoke of a head almost torn off and inscriptions on the body of the teenager. In a basement of the building where the girl lived, police found tape and a cutter that had been used to commit the crime. Police arrested three people in the vicinity of the scene and a woman on Saturday morning in Bois Colombes, near Paris. The authorities are waiting for the autopsy to be carried out this Saturday and the interrogations of the detainees to try to close the case. The prosecutor’s office clarified that the investigation for “murder of a child under 15 years of age” had been entrusted to the Criminal Brigade.
