Three dead in a shooting at a high school in the United States

A gunman killed two people at a school in Missouri on Monday before being shot dead by authorities, local police said.
An adult woman and a young woman were killed while six other people were injured, St. Louis Police Chief Mike Sack said.
Officers responding to an emergency call about an “active shooter” arrived at the scene “within a couple of minutes” and exchanged gunfire with the assailant, who was hit by bullets and died, according to the same source.
“The suspect appears to be in his 20s” and his identity has not yet been definitively determined, Sack added.
“Although on paper we have nine victims … We have hundreds more. All the survivors are being traumatized” by what happened, Police Chief Mike Sack said at a news conference. The shooting was reported around 9:10 a.m. local time at Central Visual and Peforming Arts High School.
In recent years, shootings in educational centers have increased in the United States with incidents such as that of the Sandy Hook elementary school in 2012 with 26 fatalities or that of Robb Elementary in Uvalde, with the murder of 19 children and two teachers, which brought the debate on gun control back to the House of Representatives.
Just today was the trial of an American teenager who last year killed four students at his Michigan high school with a gun given to him by his parents, pleaded guilty to all 14 charges against him.
