The National Government confirmed the holidays for 2023

This morning, the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports delivered the official schedule of holidays for 2023 – provided by decree 764 signed by President Alberto Fernández – which will be published next Tuesday in the Official Gazette and has 19 holidays in total. Thus, among the immovable holidays ordered by the National Government is January 1 -New Year-; February 20 and 21 -Carnival-;  March 24 -National Day of Remembrance for Truth and Justice-; April 2 -Day of the Veteran and the Fallen in the Malvinas War-; April 7 -Good Friday-; May 1 -Labor Day- and May 25 -May Revolution Day-.In addition, in the second half of the year will be immovable June 17 -Step to the Immortality of General Don Martín Miguel de Güemes-; June 20 -Passage to Immortality of General Manuel Belgrano-; July 9 -Independence Day-; November 20 -National Sovereignty Day-; December 8 -Day of the Immaculate Conception of Mary- and December 25 -Christmas-.On the side of the transferable holidays, this year there will be two and include August 17 -Step to the Immortality of General José de San Martín- which will be celebrated on Monday, August 21; and October 12 -Day of Respect for Cultural Diversity-, which will be celebrated on Monday, October 16. The Government also established three holidays for tourism purposes. The first of the calendar will be that of Friday, May 26 -bridge with the holiday of Thursday, May 25, Day of the May Revolution-, while the next will occupy Monday, June 19 -bridge with the holiday of Tuesday, June 20, Step to Immortality of General Manuel Belgrano-. The rest will be on Friday, October 13 – a long weekend of four days, by transfer from Thursday, October 12, Day of Respect for Cultural Diversity, to Monday, October 16. In this way, next year will have four long weekends, of four days each. These will run from Saturday, February 18 to Tuesday, February 21; from Thursday 25 to Sunday 28 May; from Saturday 17 to Tuesday 20 June; and finally from Friday 13 to Monday 16 October, with the intention of increasing tourism.
