Arts Forum debuts on radio and television with the premiere of “Dialogues of the (Im)possible”

Through the signal 102.5 FM, a new cultural program called “Dialogues of the (Im)possible” will be premiered this Monday, and which was produced and made in partnership with this station, the digital television channel UChile TV and the Artistic Creation Direction team within the framework of the activities of the Arts Forum 2022.
Three episodes in conversation format will have this program, which was born from the concern to expand one of the main activities of the Arts Forum. This is the traditional Seminar, which has been updated to a space for dialogue on topics related to reflective, artistic and cultural work for transmission, and which will be done on radio in the first instance and then broadcast in television format.
Its name “Dialogues of the (Im)possible” is derived from the thematic line of the eighth edition of the Arts Forum 2022 entitled “Rehearsing (Im)possible”, and each chapter will focus on the conversation between a moderator and two guests from the cultural and artistic field.
Premiering on the radio station this Monday, November 21 at 12:00, the inaugural episode will revolve around the theme “Art, communities and participation: challenges for a cultural democratization”, which will address the current challenges that exist in terms of artistic participation and cultural democratization. Under the moderation of the journalist and president of the board of the La Moneda Cultural Center Foundation, Antonella Estévez, participate Bárbara Velasco, director of Cultural Platform of the University of Chile and honorary president of the World Crafts Council for Latin America (World Crafts Council); and Jonny Labra, cultural manager, musician and founder of the group Sol y Lluvia, one of the most important references of popular music in Chile.
The second chapter will have its space on air on November 28, with the participation of the teacher, curator and current director of the National Center for Contemporary Art Cerrillos, Soledad Novoa; and also with the visual artist, researcher and manager of collaborative art projects, Cristián Inostroza. In addition, it will be moderated by the journalist and Director of Radio Universidad de Chile, Patricio López.
A final day of broadcast will take place on Monday, December 5, where the renowned visual artist and academic Enrique Matthey, together with the doctor in Philosophy and also Academic of the University of Chile, Carlos Ossa, share the stage in the company of the Coordinator of Production and Management of the Directorate of Artistic Creation of the student campus, Macarena Simonetti, moderated by Guillermo Jarpa, General Coordinator of the same unit.
These conversations of reflective tone on the state of artistic creation in the different academic disciplines took place in the historic Isidora Zegers Hall and the Bueno-Müller Auditorium of the Faculty of Communication and Image, spaces that will also take the screen of the digital television channel of the University between December 3 and 17 at 7 pm.
