It is the first time that a total renovation of the roofs has been carried out since 1906, when the station was inaugurated. As reported by the Telam agency, it was carried out with an investment of $ 986 million by the national State, funds obtained through the Modernization Plan of Rail Transport of passengers and cargo. This includes the renovation of more than 100 stations on the Belgrano Norte, San Martín, Mitre, Sarmiento, Belgrano Sur and Roca lines.Among the reforms were carried out: the lighting of the whole of the station hall, the renovation of the walkway system and general renovation tasks so that maintenance personnel can perform the tasks of washing the roof and eardrums.
