Tyson Fury retained his WBC heavyweight belt

After punishing Derek Chisora throughout ten rounds -who added his thirteenth professional defeat-, the heavyweight champion of the World Boxing Council (WBC), Tyson Fury, retained his belt with the victory by technical knockout to his rival. From the beginning of the duel, the pugilist dominated his compatriot, who holds the title of WBA champion. In the fourth round, Chisora showed the strength of her will, but Fury rejected her attitude with a hail of punches. As the duel progressed, the champion became more dominant and precise in each exchange. Thus came the seventh round, and the superiority of the boxer from Manchester pushed his rival to survive as he could during the last minutes. The ninth round was marked by the bumpy eye of Chisora, and when the tenth arrived, before the bell rang, the referee decided to end the confrontation by technical knockout. Although he returned from retirement for this fight, the champion has his eyes on Usyk, who dominates the heavyweight in the IBF, WBA and WBO. That is why, at the end of his rival, Fury went towards the Ukrainian boxer, who was in the ranks watching the spectacle. Where is the ‘rabbit’ Usyk? I’m not a bodybuilder but I’m going to beat you,” the pugilist blurted out. The opponent who seeks to face the British champion won Olympic gold in London 2012, and is also one of the three boxers who managed to unify the cruiserweight title and also become world heavyweight champion – an achievement he shares with Evander Holyfield and David Haye.
