Clash between criminal groups in Sonora leaves 8 dead

A confrontation between alleged criminal groups occurred on the borders of Sonora and Baja California left 8 dead and 12 people injured, reported the Secretariat of Public Security of Sonora.
According to authorities, the confrontation began on the morning of December 3 in a community in Baja California.
“In the place, state forces and members of the security table secured a significant amount of vehicles, weapons, tactical equipment, ammunition,” the Sonora police reported.

Subsequently, the shooting moved to the Ejido Luis B. Sanchez, in San Luis Río Colorado, Sonora, where 5 more people were killed and 8 were injured.
After the report, state and federal security elements moved to the place and mounted an operation to arrest those responsible and safeguard the safety of the population.

So far only three people have been arrested.
