The Director Responsible for Work (DRO) of the Enrique Rébsamen School, Francisco Arturo Pérez Rodríguez, was linked to the process for the crime of homicide by omission, reported the Prosecutor’s Office of Mexico City.
According to the authorities, the judge ratified the preventive detention so the accused must remain in prison throughout the criminal process.
The judge gave two months to close the complementary investigation.

The case of the Enrique Rébsamen School
The Director Responsible for Work (DRO) of the Enrique Rébsamen School, collapsed by the earthquake of September 19, 2017, −where 19 children and seven adults died−, was arrested in the municipality of San Juan Bautista Guelache, Oaxaca. 
According to information from the National Registry of Detentions of the Federal Security Secretariat, Pérez Rodríguez was arrested around 05:13 hours on Thursday.

Pérez Rodríguez is charged with the crime of intentional homicide since he was working as a DRO when another floor was made over the school.
Pérez Rodríguez was transferred to the south men’s preventive prison in the capital of the country, before the judge who requested it. In addition, he also had an arrest warrant for environmental crimes, the prosecutor’s office said.
