Fort Apache: A five-year-old boy died when he fell from a balcony of a building

A 5-year-old boy died Thursday after falling into the void from the balcony of a building in the Army of the Andes neighborhood, also known as Fort Apache, in the Buenos Aires district of Tres de Febrero. The child was transferred in serious condition to the Ramón Carrillo hospital, where his death was confirmed. The boy was identified as Ciro Benjamín and his body was found on the sidewalk by a neighbor who took him to the nearest hospital by his own means. Despite the efforts of doctors, Ciro died shortly after arriving due to the severity of the injuries caused by the fall. After the death of the child, crossed accusations arose between the parents of the child and now the prosecutor Diana Mayko, of the Prosecutor’s Office No. 7 of the San Martín Judicial Department, opened a case to try to reconstruct what happened. The boy’s mother, a 27-year-old woman who identified herself as Gisele, said in her testimony that the boy was home alone at the time of the accident because she had gone to visit a friend. Conversely, the victim’s father, who is separated from the woman, stated that they had long been in conflict over Ciro’s custody and accused his ex-partner of mistreating him. They told me that the mother returned ‘in fart’ to the apartment: she threw it or it fell off,” the father told Crónica. In turn, he pointed out that he “disappeared” after the death of the child and that “he has blocked everyone.” I was with lawyers and my baby told me that I always left him alone. My baby told me: ‘Mom away and leaves me locked up,'” the man said. In that sense, he maintained that Ciro asked him: “Please don’t say anything to mom because mom hits me.”
