Possible leader of the Tepito Union arrested in CDMX

José Gabriel “N”, identified as one of the possible leaders of the Tepito Union, an organization that generates violence dedicated to drug trafficking and extortion, was arrested, reported the Attorney General’s Office of Mexico City (FGJCDMX).
He is also identified by authorities as a trusted collaborator of Roberto “N,” alias “El Betito,” who has been held since 2018.
Ulises Lara, spokesman for the capital’s prosecutor’s office, explained that José Gabriel N, alias “El Perro” was captured in flagrante delicto by agents of the Investigative Police (PDI), in the vicinity of Anillo Periférico, in the Cantil del Pedregal neighborhood, Coyoacán mayor’s office.

At a press conference, the official announced that in his arrest, the agents secured possible cocaine, which was distributed in 451 wrappers, inside a plastic bag, as well as about 77 doses of marijuana, a short firearm, stocked magazine and useful nine-millimeter caliber cartridges.

According to the capital authorities, the detainee is related to the violent dispossession of real estate, distribution and commercialization of narcotics, illegal deprivation of liberty and extortion of merchants in the area of Tepito and Mexico City.
In other activities with which he is possibly related, he would be paying members of said criminal organization, the illegal sale of vehicles obtained through extortion and collection to people dedicated to robbery to passers-by, known as chineros and pickpockets, for allowing them to operate in various areas.
Likewise, this person has a record for the crime of insulting authority; In addition, it could be related to preliminary investigations initiated for kidnapping or kidnapping, homicide and crime against public officials, all as accused.
