Ranking of happiest countries: Argentina ranked 57th

The relationship between happiness and mental health is directly linked to the living conditions of each person: the activities they do, how they are and how they feel about their relationships, work and life in general. It can be considered that the more time a person has for the enjoyment of these situations and / or emotions, their mood will tend to be more stable and will have greater chances of being happy. However, there are certain symptoms and / or stress situations that directly affect the generation of chemicals called neurotransmitters in the chemical process of happiness. An example of this was the pandemic, which has strongly impacted the mood of the general population. In fact, according to a report published by the World Health Organization (WHO), in the first year of the pandemic, the global prevalence of anxiety and depression increased by 25%. Argentina was ranked 57th in the tenth edition of the world ranking of the happiest countries – out of a total of 146 -, made by the UN. In Argentina, and in order to obtain an approximation to mental health problems, it can be mentioned that 47.2% of the people consulted for a Conicet report answered that they had some “anxiety disorder”, followed by “depression” (36.8%) and “psychiatric” conditions (14.0%). In turn, it states that three out of ten people who had anxiety and depression did not turn to anyone, and almost two out of ten (16.5%) who reflected some “psychiatric” problem assumed the same attitude.
Faced with this context, it should be noted that there are different cases of mental health problems that cannot always be addressed autonomously, and hence the importance of going to medical specialists, psychiatrists and neurologists. Our actions should always be focused on seeking our happiness and well-being. Doing this will significantly increase our quality of life and allow us to enjoy what we do and every moment we spend with our loved ones. Today and always you should make your happiness a priority.
