Cerruti said that “we must purge” journalism and justice

In the framework of the commemoration of the Day of Memory for Truth and Justice 47 years after the beginning of the last coup d’état in the country, Gabriela Cerruti, spokesperson for the presidency, said that “we must purge” journalism and Justice for their role during the dictatorship. Today Argentina is an example in the world in the struggle for Human Rights. Undoubtedly, the Mothers and Grandmothers have taken us by the hand to build it and, thanks to this, today new generations embrace that struggle as a value to live in fairer societies,” he wrote in the first place. Through his social networks, Cerruti said that “however, it is essential to dismantle the foundations of bureaucratic and authoritarian structures of that absolutely dark time, and that today are still valid in justice and journalism, so that Never Again is Never Again.” Likewise, the spokeswoman of the presidency pointed out journalism and justice for its role during the dictatorship. “Until we manage to dismantle those foundations, that authoritarian, bureaucratic structure, which of different powers, especially from the Justice, because the Legislative Power was dissolved, the Executive was taken by assault. Worse neither journalism nor justice have done their purging and have made their mea culpa after what happened during the military dictatorship. And that is still fundamental,” he explained.
