U20 World Cup: Argentina will be the only venue

After the joint proposal of Uruguay and Peru to host the next U-20 World Cup for men’s football, FIFA rejected the organization between two countries so Argentina is the top candidate. Without qualifying in the South American to the next U20 World Cup, the Argentine team under the leadership of Javier Mascherano opened an unthinkable door. After FIFA removed the organization from Indonesia, given the refusal of a regional leader to receive the delegation of Israel, it was Claudio Tapia who presented Argentina to be in charge of organizing the matches in national territory. Thus, Mascherano’s team would qualify directly by its status as host. In that sense, the stadiums that evaluate from Conmebol are five: Estadio Ciudad de La Plata, Estadio Bicentanario San Juan, Estadio La Pedrera de San Luis, Estadio Madre de Ciudades de Santiago del Estero and Estadio Malvinas Argentinas de Mendoza -in case Godoy Cruz plays at home in his-. The start date of the contest is stipulated for May 20, with an end scheduled for June 11; that’s why time is pressing for FIFA to sort out the organization. With a good chance that the Argentine Football Association (AFA) will finally be in charge of organizing the tournament, Mascherano could continue to command the squad, despite his resignation after the elimination.
