Tourism Easter 2023: full occupancy is expected in the North and 90% in Patagonia

For the long weekend it is expected that there will be full occupancy in northern destinations and about 90% in Patagonia. In addition, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports announced that “an intense entry of visitors from Chile and Uruguay is expected in the context of the recovery of inbound tourism, which has already reached pre-pandemic levels.” Matías Lammens, Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Nation assured that: “We hope to have a great tourist movement in destinations throughout the country during Holy Week, in line with the record figures that were registered during the last summer season and the extra-long weekend of Carnival”. For his part, Gustavo Hani, president of the Argentine Chamber of Tourism (CAT), reported that: “We have an excellent level of reservations at the country level for this long weekend, which reflects the interest of travelers for an increasingly federal tourism, with an Argentina that continues to develop attractive destinations in each province. ” In turn, Aerolineas Argentinas announced that from Wednesday, April 5 to Monday, April 10 inclusive, it will transport 207,425 passengers. Only on domestic flights, traffic is 167,885 and average occupancy is 80%, an increase of 3% compared to the pre-pandemic. The most chosen destinations are: San Carlos de Bariloche, Puerto Iguazú, El Calafate, Ushuaia and Córdoba.According to the latest report of the Argentine Tourism Observatory (OAT), the level of reservation of the City of Buenos Aires is 80%. As for the Argentine coast, an occupation of 70% is expected in Mar del Plata; 82% in Costa del Este; 72% in San Clemente; 65% in Villa Gesell; 73% in Miramar.
