Producers in Ario, Nuevo Urecho and Salvador Escalante receive fertilizer from the Governor

Ario de Rosales, Michoacán. – Governor Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla, delivered 861 tons of inputs from the National Fertilizer Program for Welfare, to 1,500 farmers in the municipalities of Nuevo Urecho, Salvador Escalante and Ario de Rosales, according to a statement.
He recalled that with the support of the Government of Mexico, a total of 40 thousand tons of fertilizer will be distributed in Michoacán for more than 70 thousand small producers in the field, which means more than 500 million pesos of investment.
“Thanks to the effort and affection that President Andrés Manuel López Obrador has for the people, today in Michoacán we have top quality fertilizers, despite the crisis that occurred in the price of inputs due to the war conflict between Russia and Ukraine,” he said.
Cuauhtémoc Ramírez Romero, Secretary of Agriculture and Rural Development (Sader), added that 861 tons of fertilizers will be delivered to these three municipalities, of which 469 will be for producers in Ario de Rosales, 302 for Salvador Escalante and 90 for Nuevo Urecho.

He explained that the delivery of free fertilizer has allowed to lower the cost nationwide for the benefit of producers, until reaching a similar price of the year 2021 and, added that, through the state program Agrosano, more than 400 producing families of the field of these benefited municipalities who elaborate organic compost and nourish their farmland are served.
Irma Moreno, municipal president of Ario de Rosales, commented that this program benefits farmers who have one and up to five hectares that are the ones that most require inputs to improve their crops.
During the delivery of fertilizer accompanied the Governor, the head of the office of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in Michoacán, Daniel Serrato Díaz; the delegate of Segalmex in the entity, Feliciano Flores Anguiano; María del Carmen Carrillo Gaytán, municipal president of Nuevo Urecho; as well as producers of the field.
