More than 9 thousand children swore allegiance to the flag in the Argentine Polo Association

During the morning of today, the Argentine Polo Association received 9,000 children from more than 150 schools of the AMBA, to take the Oath to the Flag in the Argentine Polo Field with the Regiment of the Mounted Grenadiers, with the purpose of expressing their commitment to the country in an unprecedented day. The ceremony, which began at 8.30 am, brought together a hundred schools in “The Cathedral of the Pole” of Palermo, and was conducted by members of the Grenadier Regiment who invited each group of 4th grade students to swear and participate actively in democracy in pursuit of a good coexistence in the country from now on. The formal promise, in addition, not only had the historic intonation of the National Anthem to celebrate the day with all the emotion, the shocking entry of the Grenadiers and the cry of the “invocation to Cabral”, but also with a day of interactive games for all students on this day of celebration. Fernando Cirilli, CEO of the AAP, declared his pride in this initiative and said: “They begin a journey of respect for our culture, symbols, traditions, and the values that represent us. We are proud to be the headquarters in Buenos Aires of the Promise of so many children excited to get involved with our Homeland.” The Promise to the Flag is a traditional ceremony par excellence where thousands of girls and boys from all over the country who use 4th grade pledge loyalty to the homeland insignia every June 20, in homage to Manuel Belgrano who died that same day in 1820.
