With the statement of Maslatón begins the cause for alleged sale of candidacies

After public denunciations for alleged sale of nominations in the party “La Libertad Avanza” (LLA), the prosecutor with electoral competence Ramiro González opened the preliminary investigation and the case will take its first step today with the statement of Carlos Maslatón as a witness. According to Telam, the lawyer was summoned for next Tuesday, like other witnesses summoned, but asked to advance the process for a trip. Therefore, he will resort today at 11 a.m. to the prosecutor’s office with electoral competence that has its headquarters in Comodoro Py 2002, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Retiro. There, Maslatón must, under oath of truth, ratify or not before the prosecutor if he is aware of irregularities or the commission of crimes in the party. It all began last Wednesday when González opened the investigation due to the “institutional gravity” of the complaints known in recent days “in order to determine if the events collected violate the regulations governing the electoral process.” In this way, he summoned to give testimony for next Tuesday, in addition to Maslatón, the Buenos Aires legislator Rebeca Fleitas, the former militant of LLA Mila Zurbriggen and the businessman Juan Carlos Blumberg, who made public denunciations of different tenor against Milei and his party, such as the alleged sale of candidacies.
