There will be a new subway stoppage: What will be the lines affected?

In the midst of the claim being made by the metrodelegates for the presence of asbestos, a carcinogenic material, in the formations and stations of the network and the request for a reduction in working hours, a new subway strike was announced. The measure of force will be carried out next Wednesday 19 and will affect all lines between 10 and 13 hours. Initially, the halt to activities was going to take place on Tuesday, July 18, but it changed because it commemorates the 29th anniversary of the attack on the AMIA. In addition, in the statement, it was specified that the protest will begin at 9 with the opening of turnstiles at the stations San Pedrito (Line A), Juan Manuel de Rosas – Villa Urquiza (B), Constitución (C), Congreso de Tucumán (D), Virreyes (E) and Faculty of Law (H). It was also stated: “We continue to point out the contempt shown by both the service concessionaire (Emova) and the City Government for the health and lives of the thousands of workers and the millions of subway users who are exposed to the carcinogenic asbestos present throughout the network every day.” And it was closed by ensuring that the authorities “continue to refuse to respond to the health crisis caused by this harmful mineral, banned since 2003 and yet they have not removed from the area of the Buenos Aires underground.” It should be noted that, during the past week, the union members carried out a “dissemination campaign” with the opening of turnstiles at the Retiro station of Line C to demand an “asbestos-free subway and for the reduction of the working week.”
