Congratulations on the anniversary of Argentina’s participation in Davis Cup; 100 years nothing more and nothing less.Argentina played the Davis Cup for 100 years and we won it once. I had the privilege of being the captain of that team, that team of lions. This weekend I would have liked to be invited to the Davis Cup series played at the Buenos Aires Lawn Tennis. I would have liked to have been part of the celebration of that anniversary.I think the ego on the court in tennis is something very positive, it helps us gain confidence and believe in ourselves, you have to know how to handle it. But when that ego comes before purpose, when pettiness trumps responsiveness, I think wrong decisions are made, memories are not optimized.It’s good to be self-critical and realize that sometimes we act badly. Orsanic was captain of the Argentine team that in 2016 was consecrated for the first time in its history by beating Croatia in the final by 3 to 2. In that definition, the national team won thanks to the victories of Juan Martín Del Potro (over Ivo Karlovic and Marin Cilic) and Delbonis, who won the fifth and last point against Karlovic.
