ONEFA bans player for life for purposely injuring opponent

Mexico. – The president of the National Student Organization of American Football (ONEFA), Alfredo Trejo Lucero, reported that the Council of Honor and Justice ruled that Osvaldo Canchola, a player of the Burros Blancos of the National Polytechnic Institute, who injured Diogo Zanchet, of the Borregos of the Tecnológico de Monterrey, was banned for life.
Because of this, he will not be able to be a coach, director, official, administrative or perform any other position in student football in Mexico.
A video circulated on social media that captured how in the game on October 13, the linebacker of the White Burros, dropped his body on the left knee of the offensive lineman of the Borregos when the referees had already finished the play.

After the video went viral, the Borregos team and Tecnológico de Monterrey sent a report on what happened to the president of ONEFA, the Arbitration Commission and the Honor and Justice Commission.
