A child was hospitalized in serious condition after being rescued from a pool in Rosario

A child was hospitalized in serious condition after an accident in a swimming pool at the Jockey Club sports field, located at Córdoba and Wilde, in Rosario, last Tuesday, January 1. Although the details of the accident are not known, according to local media in the city of Santa Fe, the minor could have stuck his foot with one of the filters of the pool called La Dulce, so he remained submerged for a few minutes until lifeguards of the club were able to rescue him, perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) maneuvers and call an ambulance. He was transferred in critical condition at around 5.30 p.m., accompanied by his mother and club staff. At this time, he is in a critical condition and with a reserved prognosis in the intensive care sector of the Children’s Sanatorium. In shock, as a result of the “unfortunate event that occurred” the establishment decided to close “until further notice”, a measure that was reported through a statement. “We are awaiting the medical report and our thoughts and prayers are with the boy and his family at this difficult time. We respectfully request the privacy that the family deserves and appreciate everyone’s understanding and support,” they concluded.
