Tragedy in Chaco: A teenager is found with a gunshot wound to the head and a femicide is being investigated

In a tragic event that took place in the Chaco town of General Pinedo, where a 15-year-old girl was found dead with a gunshot to the head along with her 20-year-old partner. In view of this, the police are investigating whether it is a femicide followed by a suicide attempt in the home they shared. The incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. in a room of a residence when at least two gunshots were heard from inside the house, which alerted his family who instantly called the local police station. Upon arriving at the scene, police found the teenager, identified as Jenifer Obregón, with a gunshot wound to the head and her boyfriend, Rodrigo René Ríos, 20, who was still alive, but who, after being taken to the area hospital, died minutes after 8 a.m. In this way, the authorities seized a long .32 caliber revolver that was under the bed where the couple was and that will be examined by the Scientific Cabinet of the Judiciary to determine if it was used in the tragic event. During the police intervention, there were clashes between relatives of the victim and those close to Ríos.In addition, in the house, 17 black nylon wrappers were seized and another larger bag, apparently with marijuana, which provoked the intervention of the personnel of Charata Interior Drug Operations. Meanwhile, prosecutor Elio Mari, in charge of the Criminal Investigation Prosecutor’s Office 1 of Charata, ordered the preservation of the scene of the incident until the arrival of experts from the scientific cabinet.
