Zamora, Mich.- An armed attack in the Hidalgo Market in the city of Zamora left a young man dead, as well as three other people injured, including two minors. It was the second attack in less than a week at the same site. It was on Wednesday afternoon, when C5i operators received multiple reports about firearm detonations on Morelia Street, between Rubén Romero and Ávila Camacho roads in the downtown area. In a matter of minutes, elements of the Civil Guard and Municipal Police arrived at the site, who on a sidewalk located a boy lying face down with several injuries on his body, so they delimited the area. Rescue paramedics immediately arrived, and upon checking the victim, they confirmed his death. The identity of the deceased is unknown, unofficially it was mentioned that he would be a merchant who was wearing a black sweatshirt, gray pants and red and white sneakers. Likewise, it was learned that as a result of the shooting, José Salvador R., G., 40 years old, a resident of the El Vergel neighborhood, as well as the minors Enrique Javier, 14 years old, and Sebastián, only 6 years old, were injured, who by their own means were transferred to a nearby hospital. Specialists from the State Attorney General’s Office were in charge of processing the crime scene, where they packed several 9-millimeter caliber shell casings and collected various testimonies to make up the respective investigation folder. It should be noted that just last Thursday, March 7, there was another armed attack in the Mercado del Carmen, which left three people injured, including a woman and her young daughter.
