Lucas Benvenuto’s defense after the court ruling in his favor: “I don’t lie”

Lucas Benvenuto took to social media to show the document rejecting Jey Mammon’s motion to sue him for slander and libel. The skating instructor accompanied the letter with a sensitive disclaimer where he reaffirms the accusations against the driver. “If someone had told me before I started my path to the truth that this was going to be very difficult, that they were going to brand me as a liar, that justice may not be fair, that I was going to suffer from anxiety, anger, pain… I WOULD DO THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AGAIN,” he began by saying from his networks. He continued: “This time the justice system said that there was no crime for which I could sue. Once again – when the procedural times allow it to be issued – it agrees with me. The ruling is final and final. Just like the other one,” he remarked. At the same time he made the salvation that there is still a long way to go: “It is a step forward, but I – and many who are in similar situations – need the full truth, not in dribs and drabs, we need firm convictions, to be effectively enforced“, he highlighted. And he added: “I am still waiting for them to resolve the case of Roberto Santi, who, shielded by procedural issues, is waiting at home – after having been released during the pandemic – for the Court to decide whether its ruling is final or not,” he said. While he asked: “I need my full truth, I need the convictions to be firm. All survivors need society, through its institutions, to tell us: yes, it’s true, you’re right and whoever hurt you, is going to serve the sentence that corresponds to them.”Said. “This time, in a relatively short time, the justice system once again said that I AM NOT LYING, that I did not commit any of the crimes of which the person I denounced accused me in a forced and fallacious account“, he closed to give way to the list of thanks for those who accompanied him from day one in his lawsuit.
