Authorities in Veracruz issued pre-trial detention to two subjects for being the alleged feminics of whom he was a living mother and wife. The detainees respond to the names of Luis Jerónimo “N” (son of the victim) and Luis Rafael “N” (husband of the victim). 
According to the Veracruz Attorney General’s Office after murdering the woman, both subjects hid the body for six days in the same home where they committed the crime, this in the city of Xalapa.

Through a statement, the unit noted that on 23 August, the woman’s relatives reported her disappearance, noting that she could not be contacted since 15 August. 
Relatives told the authorities that they feared that Luis Jerónimo and Luis Rafael had “deprived her of life” as they had previously been violent with her. In addition, they said, they had been denied access to the house to verify that the woman was safe.   
With this complaint elements of the Ministerial Police legally entered the home and found the body of the victim in a rotting state and with multiple blows. According to the Prosecutor’s Office, at the time of the find, the woman had six days of being killed.

On Monday, the Acting Attorney’s Office specialized in the investigation of Crimes of Violence against the Family, Women, Girls and Children and Trafficking in Persons, reached the charge against Luis Jerónimo “N” and Luis Rafael “N”, for their likely responsibility for the crimes of femicide and crime related to the disappearance by the concealment of a corpse in order to cover up a crime.
Meanwhile, the Specialized Coordinating Prosecutor’s Office managed to get the precautionary measure of pre-trial detention for both and set the next 31 August as the date for the hearing of connection to the process.
