translated from Spanish: Lopez-Gatell lies, behind traffic lights there are political criteria: Alfaro

Federal Undersecretary of Health Hugo López-Gatell has insisted that there are no political criteria in establishing the color in which states appear at the epidemiological traffic light, however the governor of Jalisco, Enrique Alfaro, accuses him of lying, since his entity was placed in red and other states with the worst COVID figures now appear in orange, thus they can restart more economic and social activities.
In a video on Twitter, Alfaro said he cited federal health figures and showed a series of graphs, mentioning that in the indicators of hospital sufficiency and positivity rate, in addition to cumulative incidence rate and mortality rate, Jalisco has better data than other states in orange.
“Behind the Traffic light of López-Gatell what is political criteria,” accused Alfaro, who in previous days and other opposition governors called for the sub-secretary’s resignation.
“Jalisco is not going to submit to the whim of a federal official,” the governor added, asking President Andrés Manuel López Obrador to look at the data he submitted and understand his claim about the color of the traffic light assigned to the entity.
“The undersecretary continues to deceive all Mexicans,” he added on Twitter, along with his video.
“We want to help the president of Mexico face the pandemic together and coordinated. This is not the time for confrontation but for closing ranks. But that can only be achieved if Lopez-Gatell stops disrespecting the states that form the republic with his lies.”

This is the truth about the traffic light of The Undersecretary @HLGatell. Without stress or burden, as he says, here I explain, with the official data of the federal government itself, why the undersecretary continues to deceive all Mexicans. pic.twitter.com/PDJfEy6KkJ
