The new ministers of the next government of Gabriel Boric used their social networks to thank the appointment and the support they received after the announcement. On Twitter, Julieta Brodsky, who will occupy the portfolio of Cultures, Arts and Heritage thanked the messages she received in the last hours. “It is impossible to express the emotion I have felt today with all the messages of support I have received. Seeing the cultural world so happy and hopeful with my appointment honors me enormously but also makes me more aware of the great responsibility we will have,” he said. The next Finance Minister and current President of the Central Bank, Mario Marcel also intervened in the platform explaining his decision to accept the position. “Why do you agree to be Minister of Finance in the future government of President Boric? Just a few days ago I said that economists should be able to step out of our comfort zone, contribute to pushing the boundaries of what is possible and be mavericks. That’s why,” he said. The new Minister of Social Development and Family, Jeanette Vega also wrote a message on the social network, where she thanked “the trust” of Boric. “The dream of a new, more just and supportive Chile will come true under his leadership,” he said. Maisa Rojas, who will assume the position of Environment Minister, assured that she will work “for a government that faces the climate crisis: water crisis, implement cc law, SBAP and work for sacrifice zones.” In the same vein, his Energy counterpart, Claudio Huepe, also expressed himself.Likewise, Marcela Ríos who will lead the Justice portfolio and Juan Carlos Muñoz in Transport also shared messages on Twitter.
