Morelia, Michoacan.-the local Deputy of the Congress of Michoacán, Erick Juárez Blanquet, affirmed that the dissatisfaction of the inhabitants of the municipality of Angamacutiro, destruction and remodelling of the main square was just a misunderstanding and an attempt of politicizing the issue.
The square is within the catalogue of historical monuments, so it may not be modified without the permission of the National Institute of anthropology and history, however, the current City Council chaired by the Deputy, Maribel Juárez, sister began a series of works for the construction of an Esplanade at the expense of removing the square flowerbeds.
Therefore issued legislators from the Democratic Revolution Party, said that both he and the City Council of Angamacutiro respect demonstrations by villagers, however, the municipal authorities will act in accordance with the route assigned the INAH in the subject.
He said that it is matter of days for work works, will return every time that the Institute has approved the feasibility study and the initial plans for the construction of the Esplanade.
