San Jose, Costa Rica-the former President of Costa Rica and Nobel Prize of the peace Oscar Arias returns to be at the Centre of a scandal. Arias, recently indicted for alleged favor for the award of a mining project in 2008, was denounced for allegedly raping an activist against the war. According to an article in the weekly Universidad de Costa Rica, the alleged abuse would have been committed from December 1, 2014 at the home of the former President in San Jose where a medical, then 30, had come to a meeting related to the anti-war cause. In his story, the woman indicated Arias took her from behind, touched her breasts and began to kiss her while she reminded him that he was a married man.
“I don’t remember well what he answered me, but I continued playing, got my fingers in the vagina and touched me all and kissed me”, told the weekly.
The woman presented to justice on Monday a complaint against Arias by the crime of rape. Former Costa Rican President issued a brief statement that rejected having committed some sort of abuse against the complainant or any person. Arias received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1987 for his involvement in the peace processes of the armed conflicts of Central America from the years 80.ademas of the complaint for violation, a court will decide soon if it raised to trial an accusation against her for malfeasance , a crime which refers to the signing of resolutions contrary to the law or based on false facts and which stipulates prison terms of between two and six years. The case is based on a mine that never started building, because in 2010 the project was cancelled by judicial authorities because of irregularities in permits and charge, a subsidiary company of Canada’s Infinito Gold, cut down trees from endangered species of extinction.
