It’s a “Megalopolis”, considered as the film “more ambitious” of his career, as it takes years of preparation and production. The director of “The godfather” spoke with Deadline and revealed that, after so much work, already finished the script for his new job, so it already began the search for its protagonists. “This year I plan to start with my old ambition to do a lot of work using everything I have learned during my long career, beginning at age 16 doing theater, and it will be an epic of enormous scale, which I’ve titled Megalopolis”, commented.

It makes use of all my years of trying to make films of different styles and kinds, culminating in what I believe is my own voice and ambition. “Does not fall within the current mainstream production, but it is my intention, desire and, indeed, the courage, to start production this year”. As he said, the story will be set in New York City, but totally destroyed, so that an architect will need to build the city, while you have to confront the Mayor.
