The Supreme Indigenous Council of Michoacán (CSIM), autonomous and independent Council of Governments, political parties and religious orders, formed by civil, communal and traditional authorities of more than 50 native communities, we declare Together the following:
The P´urhépecha community of San Benito, located in the municipality of Los Reyes, accompanied by the collective of indigenous lawyers Juchári Uinápekua del CSIM, presented today, before the Electoral Tribunal of the state of Michoacán (TEEM) a trial for the protection of Political-Electoral rights of the citizen with the objective of obtaining the direct budget, right which constitutionally corresponds them as indigenous community and which will allow them to legitimize their council of communal government, to form a Plan of development Community and administer the proportional part of the budget that corresponds to it.
From here, we express all the support of the communities that make up the CSIM to the native community of San Benito, the step that today decided to give, is another step in the long road of resistance and struggle of the native communities, is the requirement of a right Collectively, it is the decision making through general assemblies, it is the elaboration of development plans with the participation of all and without particular privileges, it is the free self-determination without the political parties and it is to continue with the self-government and History of our ancestors.
