As every year the Museum of Contemporary Art joins the national celebration of the day of the Cultural heritage of Chile this 25th and 26th of May, with activities designed for the whole family.
At the Forest Park headquarters on Saturday 25th May at 16:00 hrs. Actions will be carried out for four works from the MAC collection. Exercises from the catalogue reasoned in the frame of the exhibition Nemesio. Panamericano, curated by Matías Allende. On this occasion, actresses, actors, playwrights and art historians, will transport the audience to the contexts where they produced key works of the exhibition, declaiming texts of the catalogue reasoned. Collection Museum of Contemporary Art, document released in 2017 that gathers information of the most important works of the museum’s acquis.
On the other hand, on Sunday 26 May at 15:00 hrs. This exhibition is based on photographs that are part of the public archives of the NASA Apollo program, made by the only 12 men who have stepped on the moon so far.
At the headquarters of Quinta Normal, on May 26th at 12:00 hrs. There will be a meeting in the room with the National artist Caterina Ciocca, who will make known part of the work he is doing in residences Molten Capital. This time the artist reflects on the symbiotic relationship of human beings and cell phones, through videos, 3D prints and tactile sculptures.
In parallel to the activities, you will also be able to visit all the exhibitions that are present in our two venues. In MAC Quinta Normal: Tissue thicknesses of the artist Daniel Cruz; STADIUM. A building that visualizes the image of a city. Chilean pavilion at the 16th Venice Biennial, curated by Alejandra Celedón and curated by Cristóbal Molina;  Leader of the artist Francisco González Lineros; and Alfa Costellazioni of Riccardi, next to the interaction Room: a quantum leap from the museum education Unit, curatorship which is questioned by the coincidences between science and contemporary art.
In MAC Forest Park can also visit the modern exhibitions for Sempre-Brazilian modernist photography in the collection Itaú Cultural curated by Iatã Cannabrava, collection MAC: Quintana-Borowicz, selection of photographs by the director of the museum Francisco Brugnoli and the Conservation and Documentation Unit; Modular by Constanza Ipinza and Rodrigo Aguilar, curated by Alessandra Burotto; and Nestor Olhagaray fractures.
Also, during the 25th and 26th of May, from 16:00 hrs. Barrio Arte will carry out patrimonial routes in the axes of the main and Forest Park.
