On Wednesday night in Brussels, a traffic police check halted the last extravagance, coming out of the sands that cover the world’s largest oil reserves: Saudi prince with high-end car transformed into Batimobile. Shortly before midnight, on the Jubilee Bridge that crosses the centre of Brussels to the Molenbeek district, the agents restarted a car that looked like it was taken from one of the latest versions of Batman. Yes! A “Batmobile” – strictly a Lamborghini Gallardo V10 turned into an extravagance similar to the Batmobile of “The Dark Knight” of 2008 and valued at about two million euros – handled by a prince of Saudi Arabia whose identity is unknown.

A Facebook group called “Police Controls Alerts – Infos Brussels” and dedicated simply to trying to capture images of police checks and interventions in the Belgian capital and upload them to social media, witnessed officers giving the upper hand to the car and confiscateited it. The car had entered Brussels through the northern district of Laeken, near the residence of the Belgian kings, and had crossed half the city. In recent days he had been seen in Germany and the Netherlands.The driver regained his freedom on Friday, following the rigorous proceedings.
