A small town in the north of the province of Santa Fe was soured after a 17-year-old boy died after a prison. The fatal victim is Ramón Ismael Coronel, whom they affectionately called “Piki” and last Tuesday, July 9, in the framework of the patron saint festivities of the Virgin of Itatí, fell vanished to the ground and never woke up again.

The events took place in Paraje San Manuel, belonging to the commune of La Sarita and located 50 kilometers from Reconquista. Ramón’s team, Unión de Golondrina, faced another set of the Northern Regional League.The match ended up evenly matched, so it was defined by penalties. When the boy blocked a ball with his chest, he celebrated for a few seconds and automatically lost consciousness.
Witnesses agree that there was no ambulance at the site, so they had to move the teenager in a private van. However, before arriving at the reconquista hospital, he had suffered cardiorespiratory arrest and could not be resuscitating him. Prosecutor Alejandro Rodríguez of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Reconquista Indictment intervened and considered it a “fatality” so he did not order an autopsy.
