After several attempts, there was an agreement. The majority in the Chamber of Deputies on Thursday endorsed that panist Laura Rojas is the new chair of the Board of Directors.
There were 349 votes in favor, 42 against and 37 abstentions. Dolores Padierna, from Morena; Marco Adame of the PAN and Dulce María Sauri of the PRI will be vice-presidents.
In the meantime, as secretaries were elected Karla Yuritzi Almazán Burgos (Morena), Lizbeth Mata Lozano (PAN), Sara Rocha Medina (PRI), Héctor René Cruz Aparicio (PES), Maribel Martínez Ruiz (PT), Julieta Macías Rábago (MC), Monica Bautista Rodríguez (PRD) and Jesús Jesús Carlos Vidal Peniche (PVEM).
On Wednesday, in three attempts to vote, the form sheets proposed by the PAN had not reached a qualified majority, but an agreement was finally reached.

Rojas replaced Porfirio Muñoz Ledo, who resigned from the chairmanship of the Board of Directors after the opposition’s claims, because Morena originally wanted to retain that position.
Opposition parties accused Morena of engaging in an undemocratic practice, and even compared Muñoz Ledo to Porfirio Díaz for his intention to re-elect himself to the Board of Directors, although he later corrected.
“There is institutional satisfaction,” Juan Carlos Romero Hicks, the coordinator of the PAN’s deputies, said in an interview with Milenio Televisión, the coordinator of the PAN’s deputies, about Rojas’ appointment.
