Culiacán, Sinaloa.- At the proposal of Mayor Jesús Estrada Ferreiro, the Board of Directors of the Board of Drinking Water and Sewerage of Guasave (Japac), which he presides, unanimously approved granting a 100 percent subsidy in the payment of drinking water only to people who demonstrate total economic insolvency and for the duration of said insolvency. Through a statement, the parastatal confirmed that, in addition, it was determined to regulate the discount granted by Japac to Retirees and Pensioners, in order to reorder this situation and that the discount is granted only to users who really need it. The Water Board recalled that this issue was touched on in previous sessions, and that it represents more than 32 million pesos that Japac is forced to budget to support the total of retirees and pensioners of the municipality; and affirms that among these beneficiaries “there are many users who have sufficient economic capacity to pay the payment. Therefore, the Board of Directors determined that: “Taking into account the possibility of applying the benefit established in the second paragraph of article 50 of the Drinking Water and Sewerage Law of the State of Sinaloa, and that it effectively reaches all users who really occupy the support due to their situation of economic vulnerability, which is the spirit of the law that established this benefit, based on the principle of equity, it was proposed to generate a fund to be applied for the benefit of retired or retired users, as support for 50% of the rates and fees for the services provided by the Board, provided that the following requirements are met:I.
